  • The S&P/TSX was down -0.7% last week for a return of 0.2% since the beginning of the year.

  • The Dow Jones was up 2.1% last week for a return of 7.7% since the beginning of the year.

  • The S&P500 was up 2.2% last week for a return of 7.5% since the beginning of the year.

  • The NASDAQ was up 2.3% last week for a return of 8.7% since the beginning of the year.

  • The Euro Stoxx 50 was virtually unchanged last week for a return of 4.1% since the beginning of the year.

  • The MSCI World was up 2.0% last week for a return of 7.3% since the beginning of the year.

  • The yield for the 10 year Government of Canada bonds is now at 2.26%, a change of 0.20% since the beginning of the year.

  • The yield for the 10 year US treasuries is now at 2.66%, a change of 0.25% since the beginning of the year.

  • The Canadian dollar closed at $0.81 US/CAD for a year to date return of 2.2%.

  • Gold was up 1.3% last week to close at $1349.7 US for a year to date return of 3.6%.

  • The price of Oil was up 4.4% last week to close at $66.1 US for a year to date return of 9.5%.

Performance in Canadian Dollars

  • The Dow Jones was up 5.9% since the beginning of the year, in Canadian Dollars.

  • The S&P500 was up 5.7% since the beginning of the year, in Canadian Dollars.

  • The NASDAQ was up 7.0% since the beginning of the year, in Canadian Dollars.

  • The Euro Stoxx 50 was up 6.0% since the beginning of the year, in Canadian Dollars.

  • The MSCI World was up 5.5% since the beginning of the year, in Canadian Dollars.
